Rockin' in the Rockies

I am in my last day in Canada now and it was massive, such a beautiful country. For the last week i have had a hire car, which has been great.

I started off at Calgary, which i did not think too much off, it was fairly dirty and the hostel was ajoined with a park where all the bums sleep. It was the big country music awards that night, so that made it even worse. I didn't really hang around though, i was out early the next morning, i did go to the olympic park and that was pretty cool.

I spent the next couple nights in Banff, which was amazing. I met an Aussie called Mark and a Swiss bloke Jean Luc, who i ended up spend the next few days travelling with. We had a coulpe of big nights in Banff, which was fun. On the second night there me and a couple of English lads had a ripper of a night and i have now spent last night and today at one of their girlfriends parents house eating and playing soccer.

The drive up to Jasper was amazingly beautiful, although i was not in the condition to enjoy it. It took me about twice the normal time to get there. Jasper is amazing, nicer than Banff, if that is possible. We even went hiking, that's right Ed went on a 9km hike and it was up hill, which took about 4 hours and my ankle is massive again. It was worth it though, the view was incredible, i definatly earned alot of beers that night. We were hopeing they had the west coast game on that night at the pub, but instead they had last weeks swans/geelong sf, amazing game. The Rockies were crazy, plenty of sight seeing and beers. i have now seen two bears scince i have been here and lots of moose.

Not much more to report, i finally am getting the feeling back in my nose, but it is tingling like crazy. I will have some photos up in the next day or so, to prove i went hiking. Dan says we will be able to watch the granny in New York, i will be going nuts. Canada was fantastic, but New York will be sweet. Hope everyones doing well, was it dom's 21st this weekend, not sure. if so happy birthday, and love you all. Up the coasters.

Ed
