Hi there everyone!

It's been a few days since we arrived but we are having a great time here. We spent a few days in Hong Kong and that was enough. There were so many people!! It was very hot and humid and we were having quite a time trying to keep cool - even with air conditioned restaurants. We managed to see and do most of what we wanted to in Hong Kong and were pretty happy to leave. Just too urban for us.

We arrived in mainland China yesterday via TurboJet boat and plane. That was an experience but travelling anywhere here is proving to be an experience. We must say though, that India really prepared us for this - China seems to be a piece of cake compared to that (knock on wood). We spent the day cruising down the Li River and I took a record 245 pictures - filled up the whole card for one event. But, I did tend to click away at almost anything. The scenery was absolutely magnificant. The limestone cliffs and rock formations are something that needs to be seen. I have a pretty bad sunburn now too because I was so involved in taking pictures that I forgot to re-apply the sunscreen. No worries - I should be good by tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are taking a long bike trip through the countryside. Let's hope it isn't too hot. It has been upwards of 35 everyday and humid so that alone has been a challenge.

Well, I have the group waiting here to go for beers and since it was my idea, I should get a move on.

We are having a fabulous time so far and are looking forward to more.
