So I finally found some time to sit down and write a bit. I've been traveling around for the past few days, and just got back to Oludeniz this afternoon. After flying in to Istanbul, we took an overnight bus to Antalya, where we stayed in the old city for two nights. Anyalya is a really nice place to hang out, with a great beach, for a city. Highly recommended. We tried to go to the art museum, but it was 15 Lira for foreigners, so we went to the beach instead.
Yesterday we stayed in Olympos, about 60km from Antalya. Olympos is a backpacker haven, catering almost entirely to backpackers. We stayed in Kadir's Treehouses, a compound consisting of lots of dorms and treehouses. The treehouse was nice, but very small (they pack six people into them. For 15£/night, breakfast and dinner included, you can't go wrong. Last night we took a trip to the Chimera, a mountain that has natural gas pouring out of it; eternal flames, shall we say. It was like a bunch of campfires, but no wood! Apparently they've been burning for thousands of years, and they used to be much larger (and more impressive).
Today, we spent the day traveling to Fethiye. We took the route along the water, which took a good 1-2 hours longer. Oh well. It is nice to be back in Oludeniz. From here I think we will go to Butterfly Valley. I would like to go back to Kayakoy tommorow to visit the friends I made there last month. Anyhoo... I will write more later. I hope everyone is doing well! Im going to try to upload some pictures, so check them out.
