well, today is my 2nd full day on the boat and first day of classes. it already feels like i've been here for months. we passed by cuba yesterday and could see it off in the distance. it was bittersweet becuase i would have given anything to be able to stop there, but just knowing i was close was great. the water is such a bright, navy-blue...i never knew water could look like that- truly beautiful. the boat is very nice and the people i've meet are all pretty neat. we'll be in la guiara, venezuela on saturday. wish me luck, i'm kinda nervous about it.
