Reason one in this delicate debate over which is better, although both countries are plagued with natural disaster, poverty, over development, etc, in Thailand u can purchase alot of top dvds, cd, watches, etc at cheapo prices. However as the guidebooks states, there are "sometimes" other thinks to buy than fake watches. You can get elephant figures or even elephant masks, seen an elephant in Haiti, let alone a nice figure of one? I dont think so.
The food in thailand is pretty top. It also doesn’t have the weird lingering fish smell that u find in any Japanese city. I imagine Haiti there is alot of maize and maybe potatoes, not so much spicy nice salads and fish. In the spring you may find the occasional watermelon, but George W. Bush is yet to bring the people seedless and Kozumi is yet to give them the square watermelon, its isn’t so good. So therefore Thailand is better.
There are many German tourists in Thailand, while Haiti has a few Americans. Germans are interesting people, not that Americans arent, but I know a few and believe that are just like Australians or Englishmaen. Anyway I luckily got to observe a lovely heavy set German lesbian couple in there late 40s feeding cheese to each other, while video taping an entire flight to koh sumui. Who wouldn’t want to see that?
(Also I have never been to Haiti, so all opinions are only based on non-factual assumptions and that Haiti is much like the Mysterious City of Gold).
