Heidiland

We have worked out that to use the public toilets at the train station costs just under a pound. Still when you got to go, you got to go....

We took the tram to the main railway station to check where our day tour leaves from. We walked around town and saw lots of teddy bears as the Town Hall puts on displays every two years.

We made our way to the bus station and started our Heidiland tour. At first we did a city tour of Zurich seeing the sights and inside Fraumunster Chapel it was beautiful. We also saw the financial and educational districts of the city.

Afterwards the coach took us to Rapperswil where we saw a castle that dates back to the 13th Century and we walked around the town. From there we passed through lots of farming land as we headed east to Liechtenstein. We went to the capital, Vaduz where we got out our wallets and bought a cuckoo clock. We saw the minuture high street and the princes castle.

Then it was on to Heidiland and saw an authentic Heidi house and a natural spring where we filled our bottles up. There were amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

We then headed back to Zurich via lake Walen which has the Churfirsten mountain range overlooking it. When we got back we went to the train station and had a nice curry (Lamb for Chris, Chicken for Rak) and headed back to our hotel to watch TV before bed.
