Today was spent making arrangements for tomorrow. Funny how things we want to do later require planning now. So I decide what I want to do and walk down the street and take the first city bus that stops closest to me. It takes me down to Circular Quay. I walk along the wharf and then up to where you can actually climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Turns out you can't just walk up and expect to climb it the same day. So I book a seat for Friday at noon. Who knew people were just dying to climb this thing? They're booked solid. Sure looks fun.
They give me a free ticket to climb the tower that stands just before the bridge. So i did that and I met two kids up there who are on an exchange program from Israel. We walk back to the wharf and have lunch together while we learn about each other's trips.
I take the next bus up to Oxford Street and walk around for a bit before walking back to the hotel. I take a different route back than I did last night. This is when I realize that my hotel is just around the corner from an area of town known as...well, let's just say there were many scantily clad women dressed a little too brief for the winter.
Speaking of weather, it's winter here. The temperature has been in the mid to high 60's with lots of sun. No wind or chill factor. It's basically Portland's summer.
Tomorrow shall be an all day adventure into the Blue Mountains.
