Well, chicago was lovely, went in myself for a day to explore. went to the art institute of chicago, n spent 4hrs lookin about, photography section was amazing, guy called Edmund Teske, had an exhibition, not sure if he's still alive, but was fab neways. then walked bout millenium park, saw fountain of faces. the artist who created the fountains, wen asked to do a feature in the park, he was given the instructions of displaying a person to represent chicago in the feature. but instead he photographed loads of ppl to show the vast variety in cultures. there's a pic which is in my gallery, of the two columns, which display a huge face(facing towards each other) n when the face winks there's an extra downpour of water! also saw the cloud gate, which was pic of the week, yay! am in those piccies would u believe, it's like a where's wally game! no jokes,hey...
Got fantastic shops there, I got a pair of levi's...women's! tania r u proud?! they're fitted n evrythin! went on a boat cruise round the city and on lake michigan was amazing, chicago really has breathtaking architecture which i will download the pics of to this site. also went to navy peir which has a huge ferriswheel, n that circular swing ride thing, was very busy so we didnt stay long. Went to the aquarium, was really nice, has trained dolphins n beluga whales, such likable creatures! got some good foties there too!
on our last day, we had lunch on the 95th floor of the hancock building, was an incredable view!stephen took a very mean foto of me mid-cake-in-mouth, that, i won't be adding to my web pics... then we had a very long 8hr car journey back up to canada, where the ppl at the border were so much more friendly than those definately rude americans on the way there. neways till next time!
