After finally arriving in Ireland, it soon came out that I had never tried a pint of Guinness before. This however was soon remedied. Thanks to Lisa’s First Cousin (Once removed)’s husband (Thanks Austin), I was able to enjoy my first pint. It was so smooth and tasty, went down like a loaf of bread. This was quickly followed up with my second and third pints of the black stuff. Although the taste is sure to be unmatched anywhere in the world, my stomach staged a revolution against my body. I felt like I had just eaten the better half of a fully grown elephant. Oh well, it’s all an experience, right?
The following day, there was a giant family BBQ with a whole slew of family, many of whom Lisa (nor obviously I) had ever met. Nevertheless, we had a complete blast meeting people, eating tons, and drinking from the keg!!!
Thanks to the Colley’s for putting us up (and putting up with us) for so long, and feeding us so well, and giving us real towels (travel towels, despite their raving reviews are about a single step above a paper napkin)!!!
