OUr second visit to the north island was pretty uneventful as our intended trip to Northland was cancelled as they were experienceing some really heavy rain. However, the highlights were sking at Whakapap where jenny and I both managed to turn on a snow board and totally kancker ourselves out after a whole day on the slopes,and walking around Waitomo glow worm walk at night admiring the cliffs and caves dotted with the pin pricks of light from the tiny creatures.
Our second experience of Auckland was better though as we stayed with jenny's friend gemma and went to watch the lionsw lose the final test as well as heading out onto the west coast to take a dip at some of its great black sand surf beaches.
