We're Here!

After close to 30 hours of flying we have finally arrived in Bangkok!! Yes, we almost missed our flight out of Boston, but thanks to track we were able to sprint through Logan Airport and catch our flight! The flight to Japan wasn't too bad. Caitlin slept through most of it while Shannon talked to our new Thai friend Oliver. Oliver gave us some good advice for our travels and some interesting perceptions about our American culure.

Today we went to the former capital of Thailand, Ayuthaya with our guide Lek and our other volunteer members. Ayuthaya was destroyed during the war with Burma in the 1700's.

Tomorrow we will be seeing more of the city, which is kind of glum so far except for the beautiful religious shrines that you encounter on almost every corner.

In a few days we will be traveling to our project site where we will meet our host family and begin teaching at the school. Stay tuned for more updates! Sorry this one was so quick. Write us back!!!
