Nice and quit island

Pangkil Island is a remote little island, off Bintan Island, Indonesia.

The journey to this island is abaout 2 hrs by ferry from Singapore, Tanah merah Ferry Terminal, to Tanjung Pinang, Bintan Island. and therafter from Tanjung Pinang to Pangkil Island by sampan, local wooden boat call "pongpong" which will take another 30 min or so.

This island is a non tourist atraction, visiting the island is only through friends invitation, All visitors need to report to the village head before you are allow to stay.

The local living in this island are mainly fisherman and the whole island is like a fisihing village, and with its serene ambience,it is great place for recreation and leisure. Coupled with it's clear water of the sea, plenty of sunshine, it is best for swimming, snokerling, sunbathing, diving , relaxing and island hopping. you can stay for short or long period here.

There is no night entertaiment except the TV set .. but the electical power only supply in the evening at 5 pm and will be shut of at 7 am.

In the day time .. you can joint the fisherman to lay fishing nets , fishing near by or just be lazy at the beach.....
