It may not taste like bitter, but it certainly has the same side effects .... euch!
Took the ferry accross the water to the zoo. This time a strange and unfamiliar orb orb was in the sky which made looking at the skyline of Sydney all the more pleasant. Checked out the Koala bears, possums and kangaroos as the possibility of seeing one al fresco in our limited time was somewhat limited. There were also a load of poisonous snakes (not tooo bothered about meeting them in the flesh ... scales ... whatever). Soon the yellowey orangey thing disappeared to replaced by a huge electical storm crackling over Sydney in the distance. We sat staring out the tigers lying under their shelters ... looking bored and almost as soggy as we did.
Finally stopped and went to look for the Meer cats ... but could only hear coughing, belching and bailing from their little holes.
By the way .... Koalas always seem to be asleep. Some say it´s because they are completely plastered on the eucalyptus leaves fermenting in their stomach!
Inspired ... we headed over to Kev's flat for a true luxury. What do you think you'd miss after so many months of travelling ... guess .... I'll tell you ... vegitating infront of the TV watching a video while eating copious amounts of homemade spaghetti bolognaise, washed down with a 2 litre tetrapak of red wine and various six packs of local beer .... and Crunchie icecream. We were completely imobilised, proped up against the settee in his sitting room, doing a pretty good impression of pod of beached whales for .... oooo .... at least an hour or so.
Lovely jublee!
