So we started out yesterday by heading to a church to see the Vienna Boys Choir sing. We thought it was a concert but turns out it was a chuirch service which was really nice although we didnt really understand it because it was in German. the boys were all between 6 and 12ish and sang so beautifully! Two of them constantly had solos and sang as high as sopranos! It was awesome. I dont really understand why we had to pay for it though...as much as the boys choir sang every once in a while it was still a church service and I dont think it is right you should have to buy a ticket to go to church....anyway...

After the concert we headed out to the suburbs of Vienna to visit the tombstones of Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert and Strauss...this was really neat...they all have huge memorials...in a beautiful cemetery. Mozart also had a memorial but he was not actually buried in that particular cemetery...

After this we had an amazing buffet lunch of pizza and salad and walŽked around the shopping district a bit before heading to the train station and jumping on the train to Munich. The train ride was long but really nice. there were mountains most of the way...when we arrived in Germany we decided to stay in the same brand hostel we did in Vienna...after dropping off our stuff we headed to a German Beer hall and had dinner....so good! They were all dressed up in German traditional clothing so that was cool. After dinner we headed back to the hostel and hung out in the hostels pub before heading to bed.

We woke up early this morning to head out to Dachau...a Nazi concentration camp just outside Munich. We got lost on the tranist system so it took us about an hour and a half to finally get there only to find it is closed on Mondays....urgh. So we walked around it for a bit reading the info boards and ran into a man with his family who was one of the American soldiers who liberated the camp in 1945. He was telling his family all about the things he saw while looking at a map and pointing things out so we listened in on it for awhile...we are going to go back tomorrow when it is open. This evening we went to the HUGE English park in the centre of the city and rented a paddle boat for a hour on the river...This proved to be much easier then rowing....anyway there were ducks there that dove right under water and had feet that looked like leaves...ducks with an identity problem I guess...are they fish, leaves or ducks...who knows..

To explain the journal name, a guy in a phone cafe we were in today asked us if we knew some guy that was on tv in Canada...I guess people dont realize Canada is huge and a lot of people live there lol...crazy Germans.

Anyway, after the park we headed back to the hostel..now we are just relaxing before heading back to the concentration camp tomorrow then on to Zurich, Switzerland!!!
