Hi People
This is the first entry for this year, we haven’t done a lot due to family commitments. Danny and Kristy decided to start a family and asked if they could move upstairs so we decided not to travel to far so that we could return home to help them move and to move our belongings back in downstairs.
We had a lovely few days with Phil, Jean, Dave, Camile & Lillie on the Gold Coast, along with Chrissy & Graham who had come up to check out real estate prices for when they retire, we drove them around for the day and who do you think brought a unit, yes us. Anyway that’s another story.
We had a great day with Terry & Marlene on their boat thanks guys
One of the new places we visited was Stradbrocke Island, a couple of friends from the Nissan Club ( Chris & Mary ) contacted us and talked us in to accompanying them to Strady (They twisted our arms). We had a lovely two weeks on the island, Chris & Mary could only stay a week but had a great time, especially Chris when we got into fishing for Dart, we made a couple of new friends (Marge & Jim).
Glenda was taught how to catch beach worm with her fingers by a fisherman we meet on the beach, she than taught Marge and after that you couldn’t keep them away from the worms.
We’re back up on the Queensland coast now, we had a couple of weeks at Noosa (surf for one week, none the next), than headed for Carnarvon Gorge. What a wonderful place.
We did the short walks, the walk up to Boolimba Bluff and the Main Gorge (the main Gorge walk was a total of 24km but worth every step)
While we were at Noosa we got the great news that we were grandparents of a beautiful new little baby girl April we are so happy for Kristy and Danny and the brand new grandparents Dave & Cherrie (congratulation guys)
From Carnarvon we traveled to Tannum Sands where we’ve played golf and Tennis with Phil & Jean, and just generally relaxed.
Glenda’s gone back to the Central Coast for a week to see baby April & catch up with the rest of the family, I’m staying with Phil and Jean and am being completely spoilt.
Glenda gets back on the 27th and we’re of to Sapphire looking for Gems
