Officious to the last ... managed to get bounced by the border people at the airport who complained because I didnīt have the correct documentation ... the same documentation that their counterparts lost at the Loas border. Good grief!
Finally managed to get through and browsed around the ... er ... shop. Hmmm .... last chance to buy that poster of Uncle Ho.
Bless Singapore airways though ... before you have even located your nearest exit they shove a glass of champagne in your pinkies. Then while you are slurping that down you can start to play with your own personal-in-the-back-of-the-seat-infront-of-you-mini-TV with games and films and everything! Coooo!
Er .... well I thought it was good anyway ... sod it, Iīm not apologising!
For the first time ever in me life we passed over the equator. Strangley, no sudden desire to do a hand stand or rush to the toilet to see which way the water spins down the plug hole.
At Singapore we changed flights and there we had our Singapore Sling ... as one does on such occasions. Fantastic place the airport ... tempted to come back just to visit the shopping area, it was like an Aladins cave of gadgets and stuff.
Another Singaport Airways flight to take us to Sydney ... what ... another glass of champagne ... oh, go on then! Looked out the window to see the sun rising, showing off crunchy snow covered trees made from mushrooming clouds. "What ... is that the sea?" pointed Andrea to a blue plat calm surface. "No ... " I say "... thatīll be the wing".
