I can't even tell you what day it is. My sleeping is messed up beyond all thinking. It's around midnight and we're all just up gabbing. By "we" I mean the girls. The guys have a seperate apartment. Which, on a sidenote, are totally bunk. They look like wet newspaper on the outside but the apartments are beautiful. It's two bedrooms, bathroom, shower, 2 decks, living room, kitchen. Oh yes, sketchball- sub leasing apartments is illegal here in Russia. The hotel tax is 25%. We are renting apartments that have been sub leased to us. Kinda fun to take part in fraudulent activities. Onward...Nothing has happened today of note. Got off the plane, which I still can not believe, and rolled into Moscow via bus with giant scary bugs. Moscow is a fun looking place. It's like new wave eighties/early nineties meets the fun craziness and quirkyness of Tokeyo. Lights, color, blinking things everywhere. Traffic sends my nerves into jumbles. It is organized with no organization. Every car for itself. Among all of the maddness, there have been no accidents. Astounding. Aside from not knowing a lick of Russian or the alphabet, it's peachy keen here. There are these little kiosk thingers that sell everything ever you could want 24 hours. El cheepo as well. 4 American dollars to every 100R. I bought ice cream tonight at one of these thingers. Jen helped me out by telling me the word for ice cream. (Thanks a bunch!) I went up to the window and said in attempted Russian "I want ice cream please". Pretty much whenever I try to speak Russian it sounds like I'm sneezing or throwing up. The lady laughed and laughed at me and my attempted Russian. Oh dear. I also got yelled at in Russian for running across the street. I really couldent tell you what was said but the guy seemed to be put into a negative mood by my running across the street. Most importantly, I went to the ballet tonight. It was everything I had pictured and rememberd from previous performed "Dances of the World". The theater was beautiful. It was all so perfect. Ahhh...ballet...I should figure out the shower. It's been technically three days since I have had one.
No fat people here in Russia.
No black people either.
So far.
