2005-03-31, Cinque Terre, Italy

Cinque Terre, or 5 towns in wogspeak is a fascinating destination with something for all of the family. We stayed in Monterosso about 2hrs south of Genoa and the first town in the group of 5.

The whole place is well connected by train which enabled us to travel to Pisa and Florence for day trips to visit the likes of the leaning tower of Pisa as well as the statue of David in all his glory in Florence (must have been cold when they did the statue).

Having swallowed a gullet of booze on our 3rd night we decided to do the 5hr long "lover's walk" on day 4, taking in the sights of all the 5 villages in the Cinque Terre chain.
