I flew from Sydney to Melbourne, it is amazing flying over Australia how much untamed wilderness exists, green forest as far as I can see out the airplane window with little signs of man. It is supposed to be a lot colder in Melbourne. I look forward to meeting up with my friend Derek from the Bay Area who just happens to be visiting his family and friends in Melbourne at the same time. I hear Melbourne is a great city and I’m anxious to see the Great Ocean Road and the Grampions that I have read so much about. It will be great to see someone from home. After settling into my room I went to have dinner in a trendy and bohemian area called Fitzeroy. I had a great Indian meal followed by a couple of Pink Goddesses the signature cocktail at the Gypsy Bar. I wanted to take a picture of every restaurant, bar, store, and flower shop in the Fitzeroy area because they were all so artsy and unique. Even the names of the bars and the stores are clever… I got my fill of artistic inspiration for the month. I realized today that I have not created anything artistic in over a month with the exception of the sand castle. I guess I need to find some more creative outlets.
