Saturday, Feeling like I had experienced much of what Sydney has to offer I went back to Paddy’s Market to acquire more Winter clothes. I spent some time in a cool and trendy looking Internet café called Blue Ice where they shake up bizarre and icy non-alcoholic drinks made of Chinese green tea and jelly pearls. It was nice to work on a fast machine with good Internet access.
Sunday, I explored the Opal and Rocks markets wishing I could carry and afford more stuff. Live bands played in the streets and local artist entertained by juggling and performing tricks.
Monday, I planned to build another sandcastle with Eddie but Mother Nature had a different plan for the day. It just happened that the Ferry to Manley Beach was on strike for the day so I took a bus to Manley Beach where Eddie and I met up and walked through the mist and rain to some of his favorite spots… we went through a long rock tunnel along the cliff that opened up to a nice view of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks, we walked to a beach called Shelly Beach, and we climbed through thick brush to a long rock wall. The weather finally won out and we rented a movie “Avalon” and went back to Eddies to watch it.
