Alright, and now for the story of last night. My parents threw us an engagement party last night which turned into quite the evening. Let me begin with bird story number two of this trip. Just as we are getting dressed before the guests arrive, the door rings and Dad walks in with the most disgusting sight that has ever been seen. A gift had just been delivered to the house for us from a close friend of my dad’s… it was the most disgusting gift ever to be given…. I feel bad saying it as it was a kind, symbolic gesture but it’s still disgusting. The nice man bought Scott and I a pair of birds. They came in the most beautiful cage with beautiful flowers draping the cage. I now officially own a bird… never EVER thought I’d say that. Needless to say, they will be parting us soon, as even now, the next morning, I am shaking, and sick to my stomach at the thought of the things out on the balcony. We named them…. Shithead and I Hate You. Can’t wait for them to find another home. (See Pics)
Other than that creepy gift the party was so much fun. Lots of people, lots of flowers, lots of food, lots of drinks, and lots of belly dancing. As a surprise to us, my parents hired a belly dancer to entertain during the party. Poor Scott must have downed 2 glasses of wine in the 30 seconds between when I told him what was coming and when she actually arrived. She was fabulous, so much fun and really got Scott’s hips moving! He had his first taste of the “Arab Groove”, he danced up quite a storm, throwing her scarf around and gyrating to the arab beats! (Please see pics) All jokes aside, she was wonderful and everyone had a great time, we were up late and are definitely feeling the affects today...
p.s. I heard Winnipeg might be getting snow today.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... that sucks!!!
p.p.s. from scott -- Lisa bought another pair of shoes. can anyone please tell me how to stop this madnes???
