We left Melbourne at about 7.45pm ysterday, and had a quick stopover in Singapore. We got there about 3am, and it was so hot outside! We then got to Dubai about 5am. We flew with Emirates, and I was totally impressed.
We got through the airport fairly quickly. It was pretty amazing when I stepped out from the airport. I was already impressed. I could see some Mosque's, and with the morning sun beginning to shine though, it looked pretty good.
As we were taking the uh, 5 minute drive to the hotel, I noticed that everything was neatly landscaped. The sidewalks were paved, the garden beds were kept neat, it was just pretty I guess.
So, got to the hotel, had a short sleep, took a shower, and then booked on a short tour of the city.
Our first stop was the Jumeria Beach Hotel. Gosh, it was so nice! I wish I had that kind of money. As it was my first time in another country, I was so happy just to be standing in a place like this. So posh!
Just next to there was the Wild Wadi Waterpark. It looked pretty nice. If I had of had more time there, I would have liked to have had a swim there, it was pretty damn hot.
We then walked along a bit and stopped on the beach. Then I finally realised that, 'oh, there is a hotel out an an island! It's own island!' I got a little happy snappy at that time. The Burj Al Arab is pretty amazing.
On the way back we visited the Jumeria Mosque. It was really pretty.
After that we went back to the hotel, got our bags ready, and went to the airport, on our way to visit Egypt.
