Cobbled streets and Mount Titlis
Arriving in Luzern on a Sunday meant that nothing was open and all the tourists were out doing the same walking tour of the town as we were. Theirs a great view of the town from the old ramparts (fortifications), towers which you can climb up. Spent the afternoon merely ambling along the cobbled streets, eating, drinking and buying more chocolate (chocolate and chillies do not go together do not believe anyone who tells you otherwise).
Headed back to the snow with Mount Titlis close to Luzern, the cable car rides through the clouds are spectacular with picturesque scenery every way you turn. Another snow fight ensued but as we left I told mum I didn’t want to see any more snow. It’s much too traumatic going to these places, wanting to ski or snowboard and not being able to (unless you pay ridiculous prices for a private instructor, grrr). Anyone up for a snowboard trip to New Zealand next year??
