Hello all

I arrived at Inti Wara Yassi on Friday, and straight into the party spirit with an orange party to celebrate Hollandīs queens day, with far too much to drink. I started work yesterday in the monkey park and today was allowed to spend time with the spider monkeys which I will be working with while I am here. You have to let the group accept you, and then the alpha male, Negro, takes you on a tour of his territory and shows you how he likes to be scratched..

a one-eyed pregnant soppy monkey (The family who had her before had a little boy who poked her eye out) which took quite a shine to me and spent most of the day either curled up in my lap, sat on my shoulders cleaning my hair or making sex noises at me and generally not letting me go.

Its not all monkey business, there are actually chores to do.. hours spent chopping fruit and veg, scrubbing clothes and other such fun.

On the Spanish front, I now have a Spanish childrenīs book with strict instructions to read in the evenings so that when I get back to Cochabamba I will be fluent in Spanish. Yes indeed.

Anyway ciao amigos
Kirstyx/Louisax
