Getting known but leaving

Didn't make it to the party last night but heard it was pretty shite and the music was dire.

Somehow seem to be known by half the hostel already for simply falling asleep in the lounge on the first night. Some guy who runs the hostel came back from the party mentioning to me, from what others had said, "Did you know about the English guy, Blake, who fell asleep in the TV room". Wow, shocking news! Obviously, it's so exciting here that the people here have nothing better to talk about.

So a few sugestions for getting known in Wellington could be certain abnormalities such as: dunking biscuits in a hot drink (try tea or hot chocolate); wearing warm clothes in almost sub zero temperatures or; attempting a crossword puzzle on a newspaper filled table whilst other people are eating.

Anyway, I have a lift around the South Island on my 31st Birthday tomorrow night/Tuesday morning courtesy of an English/Irish couple and a Dutch girl. It's in a hire car but dirt cheap although the ferry journey is $255 one way (split between us). Taking 2 weeks and then back here and up to Auckland so Jo, prepare for my arrival around the 28th November. All I've got to do now is find my gloves although I think they're either in Darwin or somewhere in Europe (possibly Germany!?).

Well my 30 minutes of free Internet is almost up as some sleepy girl before me could not read the time.
