Big City

Arrived back in Sydney on Sunday and stayed in Kings Cross for the night. Weather was really miserable, cold and wet! Met up with Stacey and Jim who I met in Darwin but stayed in another hostel around the corner from theirs.

Left the next day to Newtown which is south west of the city. Went to Ryan's flat for the day and checked into a hostel with Nobbi for $90 a week. Nice place but apparently quite a bad area in terms of crime. It doesn't seem that bad but just have to keep an eye out for '1515' - a running joke of Ryan's flatmate being attacked by 15 fifteen year olds. Can't be worse than Bristol!

Anyway, Sydney was a bit of a shock after being away from the place for so long. I found it too hectic and far too much like England. Even saw my first Burger King after normally being called Hungry Jacks here.
