Byron Bay

Arrived in Byron Bay and staying at a place called Arts Factory. Absolutely huge hostel in terms of camping. It's like a massive hippy community although, so far, my views on the place are that it's all a bit fake and a lot of the people are up their own arses.

Have come into town this morning to have a look around the place as we are here for 3 days. So far it's all a bit too trendy and try hard and for some reason we can use the Internet for free in a travel shop until midday.

Jim Lacey - if you ever do read your emails, I have been carrying your pebble around for 11 months to throw in the sea here. It may have to live elsewhere I'm afraid. Either somewhere nice in New Zealand or Darwin - it's that simple!
