Once again the little ones were up well before their wake up call. Once again we stepped outside after breakfast to a 12 degree crisp day.

Number one on our agenda was the Sony Building in Ginza. Navigating the subway post-rush hour was fun and exciting. Our exit took us straight into the basement of the infamous Sony Building where the children enjoyed the new age computer games, and played with a robotic dog that could catch a ball and pick up its bone.

It just so happened that the Sony Building is just around the corner from the Toy Park where Helen lost her Tamagochi yesterday. Just after we arrived thismorning, the Toy Park called us on our mobile to say they had found her Tamagochi. Miss T secretly ducked around the corner to pick up the lost Tama, and presented Helen with her surprisec..we love happy endings!

Our next stop was to validate our Bullet Train passes at Central Station and lunch. Once again, smooth sailing!

After a short rest, off to Akihabara (aka Electric City). The bright flashing lights and high rise buildings, all full of duty free electrical goods, ranging from double adapters to the newest MP3 players, flat screen Tvs and digital cameras was overwhelming to say the least! We were advised by yesterdayfs tour guide to heckle away. We did, but to no avail!

After a couple of hours in Akihabara we set off on the subway to the other side of Tokyo to see the trendy people. Harujuku is full of young epunksf of various trends, many unique to Japan. We arrived just after dusk to meet Hiroshi from Year 8 and his mum. The group was mesmerised by the many interesting night owls. Some of us asked ourselves ebut where do they go in the daytimef?

We are now sitting in a restaurant eating a well deserved meal. Miss T, Mrs G and Mr S are constantly amazed at how mature, engaged and enthusiastic the group is. The younger ones are befriending the older ones and boys are mixing with girls. It is truly a pleasure to spend so much time with such a beautiful group of children!

Next we are off to look for a shop that was mentioned in last weekendfs Sydney Morning Herald. Of course, the Kimono has become trendy again and goes splendidly with chunky cowboy boots and straw hats! c.. only in Harujuku c..
