One word……WOW! These markets really embody Africa. The stalls are all ramshackle humpies that look like they would fall down in the next little puff of wind. There are 100’s of stalls along the roadside all competing with each other for sales. Lots of the stallholders are illegal immigrants from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique & Malawi, though lots are also people from various townships around South Africa. They sell the most exquisite hand crafted African Curious that I have ever seen. If I had more money and more room in my suitcase (as it is I had to pay $140 for excess baggage on my way here) I would have brought heaps more than I did. I will most likely go back just before I leave and buy some more (if the budget allows).
