Today was a very successful day. Jenn, Jess, and I went to Bondi beach around 10 in the morning. It was a gorgeous day, probably mid 70s with a nice breeze and no humidity. We sun-baked while listening to music and watching all the surfers. Jess gave us some surf lessons and saved us from paying $80 for the same thing. I got to try to surf for 45 minutes and I eventually got up at the end.
We went and got dinner at a place called Thai in the Box in Bondi Beach. We chose our own noodles, sauces, spices, and meat/vegetables and then they stir-fry it up. It was really good and relatively inexpensive. Maybe I will take my mom there when she comes to visit in a couple days.
After dinner, we went to a couple shops and I got black board shorts (half off… nice) and some jeans from Jeans West. They were a good buy as well. The mall in Bondi is huge and has 7 levels with a lot of smaller stores. There are only a couple department stores, but they are really expensive (like Lord & Taylor at home).
I am really excited for my mom and Neil to come in a couple days. Until then, the constant struggle between getting homework done and going to the beach continues…
