Well it has happened again folks. I’ve had my heart ripped from my chest, chewed up and then spat out and discarded like rotting garbage. At least it happened while I’m with friends who are closer than most of my family. At least I still have game driving at Mabula to look forward to, before returning home, dragging my tail behind me. I think I might leave my broken heart on the sidewalk in Africa.
To top it all off, we are having some serious problems with the internet here. We keep being booted out of MSN and trying to get my email in hotmail is proving to be very difficult. At least I have managed to read my emails, but I am having troubles replying to them. We are hoping (so fingers crossed everybody) to have the internet problem sorted soon. Until then it is almost impossible to upload photos in my travel journal (it’s hard enough to load the text).
By the way I am attaching an email that Julie sent to me asking me to send out to everyone. Since I can’t send emails at the moment here it is. Could people please pray for Thian and if possible send your prayers and words of encouragement for his family to my hotmail address or Julie’s email address.
Here is the email:
My Next door neighbour's son Thian, 17 years old, collapsed and had a heart attack after a football game on Thursday 31 March. He was revived and he is currently in a coma in the intensive care ward at hospital and his condition is critical. Doctors are concerned that there may be some brain damage.
I am sending this email out to everyone I know to ask for your prayers for Thian. I would appreciate it if you have the time to please type your prayers and email them to me so that I can pass it on to his family and they can read them out to him. I think this will offer a great deal of comfort to his family, and later on to him. Anyone who feels that they can do this on a daily basis, please do and I will keep you all up to date on his progress.
It would also be cool if you could put your first name and city on your emails so we can pray for you as well.
I believe God asked me to send this request out to you all and I know that it will be a blessing to his family. Please also pass this email on to anyone you know who will also be willing to pray for Thian.
Email me at julie@globalcareers.co.za Thanks A Million and God Bless you all. Jules Julie Botha Administration Officer FLB Recruiting CC T/a Global Careers P O Box 17101 Pretoria North 0116 Gauteng, South Africa
