Yes we are alive. Just havent accessed the net in a while. Well we are in Tahiti at the moment. We arrived at 3 in the morning on Sunday to a man plaing a guitar and woman putting flowers in my hair (Not Ken). They put garlands round your neck and you get into the island thing straight away. We have been very lucky with the weather. It has rained once and we were asleep during it. It is so hot, 25 degrees the night we arrived. The hotel is really really nice. It has a lovely pool and a jacuzzi and the grounds are beautiful. We havent really done much here as we had done enough in the States and just needed a break. We are just chillin out all day in the sun and then drinking at night.
It is mad expensive here so we have had to stick to a budget which is possible. We dont eat out during the day and then at night we go to things called Roulettes. They are basically Tahitis answer to Roddy Doyle's the Van. They are like chipper vans but they sell all kinds of food and it is really good. They are really popular here and we are seeing a bit of their culture. We are drinking the local vino and beer at night which are both really good. It is so chilled out here, just what we needed.
The centre of tahiti is Papeete. I wouldnt really recommend it. It is quite busy in comparison to other parts of the island. There isnt much to see at all and it is expensive. We have just stayed at the hotel the whole time.
Well i better go. I hope you are all well and its not too cold back home(for those of you back there)
