safe return

well it is friday morning and i wanted to let everyone know that i returned safely from my italy trip and am now back in the dark, cold, unfriendly city of stockholm. it is nice to be back in my own room and kitchen and sleep in my own bed but as i was riding the subway back from t central i realized that i really liked it in italy. although i didn't see much as far as the big tourist attractions go, now did i see very much of the town i was in because i was doing so much work but i got a feeling for the people and the culture and the environment and that is what i am now missing. the italian people were so friendly and always smiling, they talked to each other and helped each other out and family was a huge part of their culture. here in stockholm it is just not like that.

don't get me wrong i am still enjoying being here in sweden and i can't believe that a month and a half have gone by already but after traveling a little bit to another part of europe i realized how different the people and culture is from one part of the world to another. italy is defianately a part of the world that i want to see and visit again, maybe for a longer duration next time.

although i got home safely, my luggage did not. so now i am sitting in my room from 10 to 14 today waiting for my luggage to arrive. i have never experienced "losing my luggage" before and although i am glad it happened on the way home and not on the way their, it's really annoying. anyway, my camera is in my bag that will be arriving in the next few hours so i am still unable to put up pictures from my trip. my bag should be arriving soon and so hopefully tonight you can see where i was and who i was staying with.

i will write again later, hopefully with some images, until then have a great day and take care of one another.
