Work work work! How are you all folks? Hope everything is top drawer, it is here! Where to start? The beginning i guess. We rocked up in Taupo on Tuesday from Rotorua, its a town right next to Lake Taupo (biggest lake in Southern Hemisphere apparently) and its pretty cool here. The weather has been so nice, hot as the cauldrons of hell and as sunny as u like. As soon as we got up Tuesday we booked for a bungee jump and within 10 minutes we were at Lake Waikoto ready to go. The jump is 154feet high over the river, couldnt have picked a nicer day to die, sunny as hell. I (Ry) went first, we were both a teensy bit nervous, but us warriors marched on. Ventura went over feet first, just walked over the edge, the snap to head first halfway down wasnt the best feeling i can tell you. The feeling is unbelievable, u fall so fast but its great fun once u have survived the first full extension. Lew dived over head first on his jump, and then he ended up with the whole of his upper body in the water! Wow! Its such an awesome feeling, liberating (Lew said he felt a great sense of freedom because u arent surrounded by anything), and wild. On Wednesday we got up early because we had booked our tandem skydive at the airport. OH MY GOD! Its the most amazing feeling ever, the whole day was so much fun. Rys tandem partner was called Liam, Lews was called Brad. We got kitted up in a jumpsuit, got the lectures and ran through what we were gonna be doing and then we were on the plane climbing to 12000 feet to jump. Lew jumped first out of us 2, he went so fast., I jumped right after Lew. We both thought the view was breathtaking. U can see EVERYTHING around u and that feeling of jumping out of the plane and falling at 200kph is surreal, freefalling for 45 seconds, its the most fun ever! The cars look tiny, the air sounds so harsh and the perspective you see up there is incredible, a birds eye view. It was supreme! Cannot put into words how happy we were during it, they let us steer the parachute and they pulled off some right tricks and turns. Slid well fast on landing, got the photos and DVD of our skydive because too good to miss. Today we went to these thermal pools, it was red hot! Tomorrow we go to Huka falls (a waterfall) and the craters of the moon(a weird rock formation and mud pools) before we leave for Wellington on Friday night. Happy trails you guys! Speak to you all soon!
