hanna and aimee returned for their last night in taipei. jared, me and the girls headed to queens cafe, settled into a booth and started on our latte's. within minutes brent and erik came and we headed off for dim sum. jared took us to a new place and ordered up a storm... over 15 plates of delicious looking (and tasting) food layering the white cloth. the meal took over an hour to devour.. finished off with a tasty ginger/seafood soup.. then it was back to PS where a christmas party was just taking shape..
the tables outside were free and there we sat, long into the night, finishing the scotch erik and I failed to drink the night before. then a friend of mine invited us to her art shop so we walked the streets of late night taipei and marvelled at hundred year old chinese antique art... she made us tea and even gave us presents as we left..
it began to rain as soon as we left, so we half-ran back to PS where everyone was winding down.. i took the keys, everyone left except brent, erik and the girls.. and so we sat there until 4 in the morning talking and joking.. a really cosy evening/night/morning.. until the time to leave, lights off, coffee shop deserted and locked, taxis hailed, goodbyes and hugs, and back home to rest and restoration.
