jared and I walked over to queens cafe for a change of scenery, pulled up the bar stools, poured a Gulden Draak, lit a smoke and chatted peacefully with neil and winnie (the bar tenders) until we were disturbed by the boisterous Crystal and the bladdered May. the girls drank deep of whatever concoction it was they were enjoying, let out long sighs, heads wobbled worryingly, faces drooped, laugher erupted at inopportune moments, food was offered, broken english attempted to understand, then we invited them to follow us back to PS to see the cafe... they accepted.. we sat outside in the darkness while a warm breeze clothed us, i made some white russians, the conversations became stupid, erik called and said he would be over soon, another coctail, erik arrived, we sat and caught up -mentioning the 3 on a bike episode after jeremy's bash- then a taiwanese guy approached us with a bottle of scotch, we got caught up in drinking games with a group of 12 taiwanese boozers, it was great fun, May went over the edge and fell onto my shoulder (i thought she would puke on me so i braced for an escape), crystal laughed and kept saying "i am not a party girl", though we saw proof to the opposite.
the games wore on, jared had to end up carrying May to her hotel while erik and i got caught up inside with the taiwanese guy after we bought another bottle of scotch to add to the mess.. we sat and drank.. smoked.. he suddenly started telling us that he could help us in any situation we were in with police..etc.etc.. we panicked not knowing whether agreement or retreat was the best option... we stayed, he invited us to a cocaine and food party, we refused.. i stayed a while with erik, found jared, flagged a cab and went home to Jong He..... a long night..
