on friday night hanna and aimee flew in from phnom penh and managed, without any apparent difficulty, to find PS cafe and pull up some chairs. it was so cosy to see them again and the night was spent sipping drinks, smoking too much and then (upon instruction from holden) heading over to THE BED for a "raging" party which had finished before we arrived, so we grabbed some kirin ichiban and sat on the main street watching cars. we then took the girls to their "guesthouse" by cab and ended up having to wake up two dodgy looking blokes to be let in, they got in, settled into a shabby looking room, we left.
at midday i scootered over to taipei main station, met hanna and aimee under a sunflooded sky, walked the pretty, quiet side streets and longer main roads to the chiang kai shek memorial and stood infront of it for the third time. still impressive. then a taxi dropped us off under the mighty 101 and lunch was eaten -after much trouble finding a table- outside in the sunshine.. a lovely lunch.
back to ps, rubberbandband exhibition, fun and frolics, dinner at the buffet place, back to the GH to drop the girls off, scooter back to PS, party for jeremy's going away.. lasted until about 2, then brent and i and eric took ONE scooter, only two of us with helmets and drove back to heping where brent lives. we stayed up watching seinfeld dvds before an inebriated jeremy came home and it was time for me to head back..atthespeedoflightning
