Hey everybody!!
Last time I'll write here while I'm in Scotland... at least for a while... ;-( I really don't want to leave... I just said goodbye to Kristin and now it's really kicking in that I'm gonna be away for so long and I won't see these people again until March... I've had to say goodbye loads of times this week, but now it's really hitting me...
But I've said goodbye properly to almost everybody now, by going out doing stuff and partying! The X-mas dinner with the trampoline club was very cool! It was good fun and nice to see everybody again, coz we hadn't had training that week because of exams. Mindy, Kelsey and I (the ones that are leaving after this semester) got antlers and a Rudolph-nose, which we had to wear all evening (see pics). It was great fun, and we ended up in Glow, which wasn't really full but still good, and it was the last Glow night of the semseter!! So we shouted to all the cheesy songs once more, and had a good time!!
The day after that we hung out with Jonathan and Marlous, Mindy's friend from Holland!! Nice to have some Dutch around, although we actually spoke English all the time... It was a really funny night, as always with Jon, he's just hilarious!! I'll show you all some movies when I get back, so you can see what I mean...
Monday was a really good day!! It started less good, coz we had to wake up early and go to Edinburgh, which practically meant an hour of tiredness in the train... but it soon got better: Mindy and I climbed Arthur's seat, a big hill/ cliff that gives a spectacular view over the city. Too bad that the weather was a bit foggy, but it was still really good! Later on Lauren came to pick us up and we went to Laurens trampoline class, to do some of the last bouncing ever :-(. Had a good time and did some synchro jumping with Mindy! And after that we got ready to partyyyyyyyyy at Laurens grandma's house. We went out to eat and to Revolution to dance. It was 80's night and had we a great time dancing and chatting to people!! Very good day indeed!
The next day we were pretty hungover and went out for one last drink with Jonathan. Nice night, but not too wild obviously... On Wednesday we were pretty dead and watched a couple of movies, and I said goodbye to Chris. Even more goodbye on Thursday, when Alyson and Joanne left. We went out to dinner, but Alyson couldn't make it because her dad was picking her up earlier than expected... Booh... so we just waved goodbye... On Friday I went out for a goodbye pint (which ended up to be a half a bottle of wine, because it was the last night Studio was open and they didn't have any draft beer left...) with Carina. Then it really started kicking in that I'm actually leaving... after saying goodbye to so many people... And yesterday I invited some people over to my flat, which is empty because the Spaniards left (whoohoo) and had a really good time! I think all my laughing of the last week has burnt down all the calories added by drinking... ;-)
And this morning, I said a final goodbye to Kristin and my first tears came up. It's really sad having to leave, but I'm really looking forward to going home as well!! Two more nights left, and tonight I'm going to the Beat for R&B night with Lauren, Mindy and Hanna. And tomorrow Mindy and I are leaving for Glasgow, so we don't have to travel that much on Tuesday, when we fly home.
To everybody I've met here: I'll miss you guys so much, but I'll be back before you know it!!
And to everybody back home: I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again, so see you soon!!
