so i've been in budapest since thursday, and i leave tomorrow to go back to england. there are parts of budapest that are really quite nice. the castle district was my favorite section, so if you ever decide to come here, definately go see it. the danube river is also really very pretty, and the views from the bridge are gorgeous. other than that, i think i would get really depressed if i had to live here. the city, as a whole, isn't very pretty. but it has not deterred me having an absolutely fabulous time.
craig and i have been eating out constantly; the boy is pampering me, really. :) and tonight we're going to the hungarian opera to see macbeth. i am looking forward to that a lot. i have been learning a bit of hungarian, such as yes, no, thank-you, and "to your health." (i'll say them in person if i see you.. i don't want to butcher the spelling.) craig knows a lot of hungarian, and knows the transportation system really well. i'm quite impressed; it's a big city that doesn't speak english. :)
oh, i have also been very adventurous in trying different tradtional hungarian dishes. :) go me.
