Hello ladies! and lady boys (well I am in bangkok after all)
Have just spent four days on Ko Samed an Island about 4 hours from Bangkok. We were hot and sweaty and found bangkok hard work so decided to leave as soon as possible.
The island is lovely if a little built up, though we managed to stay on one of the nicer quieter bays, just a few places with bungalows and restaurants attached. Very nice atmosphere with bars down on the beach very cool music and Thai guys doing fire sticks and poy to entertain you. Till disk just chilling on the beach and in the sea was the order of the day with a bit of frisbee too.
Best part was meeting some really nice people. We took a minibus with this American girl called Cherrod who turned out to be fun, intelligent and really interesting so have stayed with her a couple of nights and spent quite a lot of time hanging out.
So much enjoyed her company that we just searched most of bangkok for a triple room that wasn't a rip off to be able to spend one last night with her before she goes to Laos. Also we met a Danish Girl and an Aussie living in London and a couple of Isaeli guys all who have many stories to tell and lots to say so have had a thoroughly enjoyable and sociable time, lots of staying up late talking and laughing.
Next we are going to Kanchanaburi (hmm not sure of spelling) where the bridge over the River Kwai is and also some lovely 7 step waterfalls so that should be great though will be sad to say goodbye to people I have met as they have been great fun but we are all going in different directions.
The only bad part so far are that all my clothes already smell and can't get them clean with travelwash, need laundry done soon, also bitten to death as usual which drives me mad but hopefully will build up imunity so they don't bother me too much anymore, meanwhile am going on Kamakazi missions with magazines to kill the bastards!
