it all started the night before james' birthday on friday. as usual we went to PS cafe, sat around drinking lattes and chatting with random customers....come 1am robbie, ange, nikki and a few strangers came in and we all settled around the big table and played maier. john and jared felt tired and drove home, so we stayed a couple hours longer, battling it out, and then locked up the cafe and walked over to james' house (via the family mart for beers) where we stayed until 6 in the morning playing pool and talking to bizarre and normal people, in that order.
robbie and i caught a cab home as dawn was breaking.. back to ching ping rd where an air mattress offered sleep.
the next day was james' birthday. about 100 people ended up at PS cafe, james and his cahoots being the last to turn up since they had to go powder their noses before the big nights events.. so in the end everyone was indoors, the music was playing, beers and mixed drinks were flowing but for some strange reason john and i felt like abstaining.. apart from a couple of beers, a sambuca shot with james and a baileys coffee the party for me was enjoyed sober.. we drove home in the pouring rain..hearing rumours of a typhoon coming on monday! bed was embraced at about 6 am again.
sunday was another day of drinking, heaven knows why, but the national guard published a warning so everyone had monday off work due to the huge typhoon that was heading our way, so it was another excuse to drink and be silly for most people. i ended up at PS playing dice for a while and then heading over to robbies to watch a devastating bollocking at the hands of the motherfuckers from MAN U, after the initial horror i settled into stride chatting, music playing, beers consumed and 21 grams watched (again, but what a good movie?).. before stumbling down the steps once again at around 5.. or when the sun was poking in.
