Took a taxi with the Spanish girls to ‘Jog Falls’ – a 250m high set of waterfalls. A long walk down to the bottom where there were butterflies, dragonflies and rainbow coloured clouds surrounding the falls.
A long trip back and getting concerned about the driving particularly when we saw a lorry and its load of fish that had just smashed through a bridge barrier and landed on it’s top in the river below. Glass and fish everywhere.
And another thing! What is it about Indian cars that they only have sidelights or main beam ... nothing in between.
Called my parents and almost had to smack a drunk monk who was giving me hassle for being on the phone.
Everyone looks like they have just got out the shower here. Not that ‘pine fresh’ look, but ‘I’ve just got out the shower and still have my towel wrapped around me’ look. Infact, as we have been heading south, almost all the men wear sarongs ... although with it being so warm they tuck them up between their legs at the front.
