From Bali we shot through to Australia to catch up with Trina’s brother Paul, his wife Jody, two girls, plus a large bump (which has since through some mysterious process become girl number three). Had a good time with them stopping off to watch Southern Right Whales nursing close in to shore, checking out local forest walks and other interesting stuff.
Coming back to Melbourne we caught up with Shaun and Sophie who treated us to a great meal out. It was a real shame not to catch up with Paul and Jane but hopefully next time.
From here it is back to NZ for some family time and preparation for South America. We aim to travel very lightly with around 40 litre backs weighing no more than 8kgs.
