Well,after scoring a couple of tickets from shady airlines plc we had ourselves a 17 minute flight in a tin can with wings,touched down in Lombok on friday morning,got picked up by a dive company called dive indonesia.(i must mention our travelling companions neil and anna)who organised pretty much all the transport.so it was a 1hr to the ferry port,more like a canoe port as the ol ferries were a bit on the small side,forty mins later we landed on gilli trawangan,one of 3 tiny islands where the only mode of transport is a horse and cart your legs or one of Mr Fuck's bikes.yes that was his name.very chilled out place with white sands crystal blue water,about 20 bar/restaraunts and lots of scuba diving places.So we decided to take the course and before you know it we are breathing freely under the ocean at 33feet.so we did a 2 day course with homework and tests and then a skills test under the ocean,it was ace...so in a nutshell we are now qualified PADI scuba divers.How mad.
the underwater adventure was awesome,pam saw a reef shark i was too busy filling my wet suit to look for it,we saw a couple of big turtles,plenty of big big fish.and we found nemo too.we are intending to go back in a few weeks to do another course to let us go deeper,so that should be cool.our visa runs out on 17 days so we are thinking of going to malaysia for a bit then back to bali with a new visa.it would be rude not to at 2 quid a night for a beach bungalow,
And the pamster gets a big thumbs up for she went surfing yesterday and caught a couple of waves,next time she might stand up.as for me i was sidlined with a mystery illness.
so its back in the big noisy kuta beach for a couple of nights before we sort out our washing and tickets for our jolly over to Java,to see our mate Stu.who gets a shout because the guy who was teaching pam to surf new stu cause he had taught some of his friends english,how mad.
well thats it for now when i get to java i will whack some pics on the site.so its off for a bintang beer and the milan celtic game is on so thats a must.
