Well, I thought we had stumbled out of Norway and its clutches by arriving in Denmark. We had to take a ferry from Norway to here.. just as a side note, everything in Norway is about 3 times more expensive than you expect it to be, so we wanted to get the hell out ASAP. We take this ferry, the one later in the evening so it is cheaper, thinking it is two hours long. We get on the boat, which was one hour behind schedule, take a four hour ferry ride and arrive in the wee little village of Hirtshals at 1:30 in mo-nin'. Walk 20 minutes to the hostel, which is closed due to lack of customers, and walk back to the main train station. 2 am. and no Danish Crowns. A friendly cabby drove us to the only hotel open in town which was ... how should we say ... upscale to our dismay. 2:30 am and so tired we dont care we pay for the room and sleep until noon. which was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in.expensive, but comfortable. hahahaha. Now we are taking a night train to munich for Oktoberfest! and finally getting back to the land of Good coffee and Euro dollars. whooopee!
