i have fallen in love with this island. it is paradise on earth. the temperature is around 23c all year round. it usually rains only at night and the sun is out almost 12 hours during the day. there are so many things to do in this island, one can hike the hills, or go on an adventure trip inside the virgin forest, there are also subterranean rivers and caves you can visit. for those interested in culture and history, there is small museum filled with artifacts depicting the trade among the island natives and people from mainland asia 4000 years ago. there must be hundreds of old spanish style houses, public buildings and churches all over the island. shopping and sampling local cuisine are fun activities. nightlife is incredible, whether star gazing or bar hopping. but my favorite activity involves the sea. today i spent most of my afternoon underwater--- i just can't get enough of scuba diving. i must have been a dolphin in my previous life.
