2004-09-09, Palawan, Philippines

Palawan has been described by naturalists as "the last frontier," a virgin, untamed island. It's characterized by rich biodiversity, lush jungle, and rare fauna that are only now falling under tentative environmental protection measures. There are some fine resorts and beautiful scenery in Bacuit Bay, but you're sure to want to get underwater to see the real show along the island's reefs. Tourists will head straight for Puerto Princesa or El Nido. according to frommer,s.
