Good Morning, people!
I thought I would write a little note for you all in comemoration of my silver anniversary, my first quarter century, the beginning of the second half of my third decade.
I'm losing my cold and heading on a wine-tasting binge in the world-reknowned (well, Peru-reknowned) capital of winery and drunken savagery.
I spent yesterday trying to read by a pool, what I thought would be a lovely ending to the time where I wrote a 2 and a 4 on forms asking for my age. However, I was frequently harrassed by two drunken Peruvian men, who had no trouble talking to me, though I had great difficulty understanding even one word of what they were saying. You know how when you're sick and a certain smell will stay with you throughout the day? Well I had the wonderful pleasure of some drunk guy's breath following me around all day. Barf.
So it is with great pleasure that I say good-bye to 24 and hello to a new quarter century, one in which I will be wise enough to avoid drunken Peruvian men by bolting for the pool (or in today's case, the winery) rather than sitting and nodding at them, pretending to understand what the hell they are talking about....
