What can I say. The first day I came and I hiked up a large steep hill to view the castle that I have wanted to see for years (all of my hikeing trained me for this, it was STEEP), but then I made it to the bridge that viewed the famous Neuschwanstein. It was breathtaking, magnificent, beautiful, amazing!!! I was so happy to be there (see photos). I met some really nice people there. the next day I arrived early for the tour after a huge thunderstorm. I was on the bus with school kids to the castle. I was so early that I decided to play freelance writer and interview the principal of the school, comparing American schools to German schools. I will write more about that later. He gave me a 5 minute interview as I caught him in the hallway. It was fun. I enjoyed the small town outside of the castles, the people everything. Until I finished the trip early and decided to take the train early, ending up on a longer trip than I expected, having to get off many slow, hot, stinky trains. I have now learned more about German train schedules, and eventually I made it back. All in all, it was a great experience.
