I have to be honest when I say that I never have had really bad weather on any of my trips, and there were just a few showers during my whole trip to Venezuela. I thought my luck might be running out because the clouds were coming in that morning over the Carribean sea.

But like magic, it all cleared up again as we boarded our boat again for the days destination, Cayo Sal. I have to say that Cayo Sal was one of the nicest beaches I have visited here with white sand (coral) beaches with a very gentle surf, and plenty of room to swim in (without rocks or other obsticles). And we were alone.

Yes, it was the ultimate high, having the island all to ourselves that day, and the sun came out to play with us too. We chose a spot by a little inglesia (church) that was on the island, and this was the nicest day of my trip so far.

The unfortunate thing was later that night, when I had the fish dinner at our hotel. I didn't eat much because I didn't like the taste of it at all, and I think the food was a bit old because there were only a couple of people staying at the hotel. Later I began to suffer greatly because I think it was food poisoning. It was very bad, but you have to take the good with the bad I guess.
